I made this pikachu costume virtually the same way as the spider costume. I blogged earlier this month about how i was in the midst of sewing a halloween costume for dakota. I used mccall’s 4945, but there are many newer jumpsuit with hood patterns available.

So i had to make my own. Then i created the following pattern for your personal advantage, so if someone you love wants this costume, you won't have to search and sketch and figure it. I decided on making a pikachu costume by modifying a simplicity costume sewing pattern.

I added fleece stripes to the back. In order to make the tail more sturdy i used a heavy fabric stabilizer. He wanted to be pikachu for halloween last year but there were no costume patterns available.
